A Male Side Tee features a specific configuration: one port on the run is a male pipe thread, while the other run port and the branch port are compression tube fittings. This design is essential for “end-point access with branching” scenarios.

1. Process Instrumentation and Control
This is the most common application for the male side tee.

Pressure Monitoring Stations: The male threaded end screws directly into the female port of a main process line or vessel, while the side and run ports connect to pressure gauges, transmitters, or sampling lines.
Sensor Integration: It is used to introduce temperature probes or flow sensors into a system via the side branch without interrupting the linear flow of the main tube.

2. Hydrogen and High-Pressure Gas Industry
Due to the excellent hydrogen embrittlement resistance and high-pressure rating of 316L:

Hydrogen Refueling Panels: Enables high-pressure hydrogen distribution and equipment access within highly confined spaces.
Gas Cylinder Manifolds: Used to daisy-chain multiple cylinders together, where the male thread connects directly to the manifold header while the compression ends link the individual cylinder lines.

3. Semiconductor and Solar Cell Manufacturing
Leveraging high cleanliness and compact design:

Gas Cabinets: Used in specialty gas delivery systems (e.g., Silane, Ammonia) to divert gas from a main supply valve to multiple process chambers.
Chemical Delivery Systems: Acts as a hub for connecting main supply lines to branch lines when transporting high-purity chemical reagents.

4. Laboratory and Analytical Equipment
Gas Chromatography (GC) Systems: Facilitates the mixing or splitting of carrier gases and samples within precision gas paths.
Autoclave and Reactor Setups: The male end is often mounted directly onto the reactor lid, while the two compression ends serve as inlet and exhaust/relief ports.

5. Offshore and Petrochemical Engineering
Corrosion-Resistant Sampling Loops: 316L grade resists marine salt spray and corrosion. Male side tees are frequently used on sampling panels to draw fluid from a main line for real-time monitoring.
Hydraulic Control Systems: Ideal for branching oil lines in compact Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs).
